Was andere Leute gesagt haben

  • Wilhelm Kufferath: Es ist eine sehr schöne Musik. Sie hat ganz viel Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten und interessante Klangfarben. (über "An Equilibrial Day")
  • Stephen Montague: What I liked about the piece, was its straight forward opening and development of a single, basic idea. The structure was clear and effective. It had a feeling of pulse, motion and drive which is often missing in some kinds of contemporary music. (über "Casba")
  • Paul Bartholomew: I felt the piece had a real “groove”. It (the piece) reflected a consistency and urgency in its rhythmic/colour concerns. Your work demonstrates a good ebb and flow of rhythmic intensity without the danger of stalling (indeed as cat races round and pauses for a short moment, but we are aware of the latent energy & motion!). ...and I felt the that the control of your ensemble to produce the weight you required for your (dare I say...) Stravinsky-like rhythmic punches was very well achieved. Overall good control of form, proportions and a sure sense of development of a simple idea. Bravo! (über Casba)
  • Dr. Jeremy Barham: The piece maintained a consistent style and texture throughout, enhanced by the contrapuntal interplay between the parts. Excellent. (über “12 tones” welches noch nicht auf dieser Seite vorliegt)
  • Sebastian Lexer: This piece shows very well, how sounds around us can be utilised in such interesting ways. By substituting more conventional instruments and keyboard sounds with edited samples, you have been creating a very interesting sound world in which your composition works very well. (über "Essentia")
  • Edwin Roxburgh & John Thomas: This was a substantial and impressive work. The concept was well realised within each film, with choice of percussion instruments reflecting well the visual content. As clear, and sometimes radical, statements these were well-realised pieces of project work. A successful artistic project. (über "Essentia", "The Factory" & "Siren out of Nowhere" [unter dem Sammeltitel: "Konsumterror"])
  • Dominic Murcott: Excellent electroacousic skills. Good strategies for exploring new areas and imaginative response to influences. Plenty of technical skill.
  • John Thomas: He (...) is developing a strong individual style. His presentation and use of technology are excellent.
  • Daryl Runswick: An intelligent and assured musical mind came through in the music.
  • Daryl Runswick Sarah Thomas: The panel was unanimous in its admirations of the level of technical control, vivid imaginations & discipline. The piece had austerity, intensity and excitement. (über Siren out of Nowhere)
